Short Bio Michael Guinn
Actor/Poet/Emcee
Michael Guinn is an internationally renowned Spoken Word artist, published poet, actor and fun, professional, high energy emcee for audiences of all ages.
He has 25+ years experience as the director of Mike Guinn Entertainment and founder/CEO of Uplift Your Life, a 501c3 which addresses mental health and wellness globally via performance arts. As an award winning poet/storyteller/actor and mental health advocate, he continues to build safe and supportive platforms for all artists and audiences everywhere. This social worker turner actor is also in films and television series now streaming on Amazon, Peacock, Netflix, Tubi, YouTube and Roku. Michael is also a voting member of the NAACP Image Awards and host 6 ongoing open mics and 10 annual showcases. He has also been nominated for a gospel choice award and a Prayze Factor Award for this album “The Calling”and has published two collections of poetry. Michael Guinn-MSW
Mike Guinn is a speaker/presenter/poet who works for the TRAC program here in Dallas, an organization that provids permanent supportive housing, Transitional Living, Rapid Rehousing and aftercare services for North Texas’s homeless and former foster youth. He is a graduate of UTA’s social work program and holds masters degree. Mike is also former CPS Investigator turned award winning actor/poet who uses these skills to promote social awareness. Mike Guinn is a native of Jacksonville Tx and is the founder of Mike Guinn Ent, a DFW based events company. He is a nationally recognized grassroots entertainment organizer who creates professional platforms for spokenword artists, storytellers, slam poets, actors and singers to perform at live and virtual events. He holds a bachelors and masters in Social Work and after spending years as a Child Abuse investigator he started writing about his own childhood trauma and experiences with CPS which placed him on a path to healing and led him to a career in community advocacy, motivational speaking, film, stage and multi-published author!
Michael is a Top Notch Performance Poet and award winning actor besides being a great gala and conference emcee.
